On Friday April 7th, 7.45pm, at the Britannia Hotel, New Street, Birmingham, UK, the Birmingham SF Group has invited fantasy and horror artist, Les Edwards, to come and talk to them and present some slides of his work. Les Edwards has been a professional illustrator for twenty five years. He has worked in many fields and areas but is best known for the number of book jackets he has produced in the fantasy, science fiction and horror genres. His work has included advertising campaigns, movie posters for films including John Carpenter's The Thing and Clive Barker's Nightbreed among others and he has worked in film production and gaming. In recent years Les has taken to painting under the pseudonym "Edward Miller" in order to do a different kind of work and use a more romantic style.
