Howard Waldrop interview
16/03/2006 Source: Jessica Martin

Writer Howard Waldrop was interviewed on location at Capclave 2005 for this month's episode of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction.

In the interview, Waldrop and host Mike Zipser discuss Waldrop's eclectic body of short fiction work. They also talk about Waldrop's early years as an active member of Texas science fiction fandom, his beginnings as a professional writer, and his fondness for movies of the 1950's.

The March episode of Fast Forward also features a special memorial segment about writer Octavia Butler.

In this month's media segment Marianne Petrino reviews the light-hearted yet educational anime video series, Bottle Fairy.

Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction is a monthly half-hour television series about the genres of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Fast Forward is produced by D.G. Productions through the facilities of Arlington Independent Media in Arlington, Virginia.

A video version of the complete interview is available online at www.fast-forward.tv
