Cow-abducting aliens in spandex hit the red carpet
11/03/2006 Source: Jessica Martin

Forget the Academy Awards. There's something glitzier on the horizon - and it is a galaxy away from Hollywood. Star-gazing A-Listers say the real intergalactic action is actually in the middle of the desert at the world's largest UFO convention and film festival.

Around 900 extraterrestrial enthusiasts and scientists from 25 countries landed in Laughlin, Nevada, USA, this week to share their ET sightings and film releases. And the culmination of this year's cosmic conference was the worldwide premier of GOT MILK's? aliens advertising campaign - which to the surprise of many snagged the Alien Oscar - the international UFO EBE - for best newcomer in the field.

"I never imagined we'd be here today," Feh Tarty, GOT MILK? co-script writer, said to SFcrowsnest.com. "I'd like to thank everyone who has believed in this project and, especially those alien scientists for abducting our cows in the first place. Without them this campaign would have never taken off."

According to the convention organizers, GOT MILK's? advertisements caused quite a stir at the Congress. "I think some of the scientists were kind of surprised to see an advertising campaign steal the show this year," Teri Brown, UFO Congress coordinator told SFcrowsnest. "Especially one with spandex wearing aliens and Beatle haircuts."

The Alien commercials put forth a plausible - if not somewhat unusual - explanation for the recent rash of cow abductions as reported by dairy farmers on http://www.cowabduction.com
