Orbit acquires Runelords

SFF publisher Orbit has acquired David Farland's Runelords series, previously published by Simon & Schuster's defunct Earthlight imprint. Buy Runelords in the USA - or Buy Runelords in the UK  Orbit senior editor Darren Nash told SFcrowsnest, "We're thrilled to welcome David Farland to Orbit. His Runelords series is a wonderful epic fantasy: huge in scale, action-packed, with well-drawn characters and one of the most original takes on magic in years."
David Farland added, "I'm delighted to be working with Orbit. Several of my fans in England have recommended them as the premier publisher of fantasy and science fiction in the UK. I hope that we will be working together for many years to come."
THE SUM OF ALL MEN, BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF, WIZARDBORN and THE LAIR OF BONES, all previously published by Earthlight, will be re-issued by Orbit in spring 2007. New books in the series will follow from autumn 2007.
