June 2006 will see the first of a new series of six, full-cast audio dramas featuring the Tomorrow People. Buy Tomorrow People in the USA - or Buy Tomorrow People in the UK  Nicholas Young, star of the original TV series, returns as John and the new plays will also feature special guest appearances from other original TV series stars, Mike Holloway and Sammie Winmill.
The Tomorrow People are Homo Superior - the next stage of human evolution. Young people with super powers, dedicated to safeguarding planet Earth. From their secret laboratory deep beneath the streets of London, aided by their super-computer TIM, they watch and wait for others like themselves - and guard against threats to all mankind.
A Broken Song, by Nigel Fairs, opens the fifth season in June 2006 with an emotionally charged space opera, guest-starring original Tomorrow Person, Mike Holloway as Mike, with Elizabeth Counsell (Brush Strokes) as new Tomorrow Person Lillith and Nicholas Briggs (voice of the Daleks and Cybermen in Doctor Who) as the unhinged President of the mighty Cartel Empire. In August, the Tomorrow People struggle to deal with the repercussions of the opening story in Joseph Lidster's powerful script, Aftermath. Sammie Winmill recreates her role of original Tomorrow Person, Carol, in Craig Hinton's Spiritus Mundi, in October which sees Mike, Lillith and Carol investigating inhumane genetic experimentation on the children of an alien world. In December, Stemming the Tide, by Helen Goldwyn (who also plays Elena in the series) sees the Tomorrow People encountering an ecological disaster on a remote Scottish island. Alex Crowe's first script for Big Finish, End of Silence, explores what it is to be a homo superior in February 2007. Finally, in April, the season ends with a shock in Rachel, by Nigel Fairs.
The fifth series of Tomorrow People audio dramas will be released on single CD with the exception of the season finale, Rachel which will be a double CD. The fifth series CDs will be available to buy individually - £10.99 (£11.50 overseas) for each single CD release and £14.99 (£15.50 overseas) for Rachel. Alternatively, all six plays can be purchased together at the special discount price of £50.00 (£57.50 overseas).
