2005 British Science Fiction Association awards 10/04/2006 . Source: Jessica Martin 
The BSFA awards for 2005 were presented on Saturday 15th April 2006 in a ceremony at the Eastercon, Concussion, in Glasgow. The ceremony was hosted by Farah Mendlesohn, the co-chair of the convention. Best Novel of 2005
Air, by Geoff Ryman (Gollancz) The award was presented to Geoff Ryman by M John Harrison.
Best Short Fiction
'Magic for Beginners' by Kelly Link (F&SF, September 2005; also Magic for Beginners, Small Beer Press) The award was presented by Stephen Baxter and accepted by Niall Harrison on behalf of Kelly Link.
Best Artwork
Cover of Interzone #200 -- Pawel Lewandowski The award was presented by Anne Sudworth, and accepted by Jetse de Vries (assistant editor of Interzone) on behalf of the artist.
Non-Fiction Award
Soundings: Reviews 1992-1996 - Gary K Wolfe (Beccon Publications) The award was accepted by Roger Robinson of Beccon on Gary's behalf; it was presented by John Clute, who also read a statement from the judges for this award.
The awards were designed and made by then BSFA awards administrator Claire Brialey.
