SFcrowsnest to launch new science fiction television channel

Stephen Hunt's SFcrowsnest gets backing from computer billionaire and UAE-based investors to launch a new cable science fiction and fantasy television channel. SFF web portal SFcrowsnest today announced it has received $921 million in Series A private equity backing to launch a new television channel focused on the science fiction and fantasy genre.
What with the success of SFF brands such as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek and the like, it is hard to think of any major Hollywood production that hasn't made a mint out of the medium of the fantastic.
Now its SFcrowsnest.com's turn. The channel will be called FantazTV and will initially be launched in English-speaking markets including the USA, UK, Canada and Australia.
