The latest SFF client signed up to the John Jarrold Literary Agency is Ruaridh Pringle, a Scottish author. The latest client signed up to the John Jarrold Literary Agency is Ruaridh Pringle, a Scottish author who has previously written and contributed to various non-fiction books about walking and climbing, and contributed articles about both subjects as well as ecology and travel to newspapers and magazines over the last ten years and more. He has also worked as a freelance photographer, musician and in many other fields.
Ruaridh's short fiction has appeared in INTERZONE. His first novel, SANCTUARY, is a science fiction epic, spread over five hundred years and many planets. It has the depth and massive concepts of both Iain M Banks and Peter Hamilton, as well as a dark wit.
Ruaridh lives in Scotland.
'I read SANCTUARY's seven hundred and seventy pages with great relish,' said John Jarrold. 'Ruaridh is a wonderful writer, whose characters, storylines and scope drew me in immediately - as I'm sure they will publishers and readers. He may well be one of the most important new SF writers of the twenty-first century.'
