Bye bye to Ed McFadden
25/01/2007 Source: Jessica Martin

Ed McFadden resigns as editor of Fantastic Stories of the Imagination.

A message in from Ed ...

"I am resigning my Editorship of Fantastic Stories of the Imagination effective immediately. I also will no longer be a Consulting Editor for the Wilder Publications Spyre imprint. Please do not send questions. I have very few answers, other than to say life sometimes gets in the way of fiction, and everyone has their own goals and aspirations and must serve them as best he knows how.

Writers who were scheduled to appear in Fantastic should contact Warren Lapine, but I would consider all outstanding contracts with Fantastic void unless DNA Publications, Inc. communicates otherwise. I would like to thank Warren Lapine and DNA Publications, Inc. for everything he has done on my behalf, and I wish him and the company the best of luck in the future.

Thank you to everyone who supported the magazine over the years, going back to 1992 when Pirate Writings was nothing more then a fanzine. For the first time in fifteen years I will not be an editor of a major publication, and I must admit the thought of not seeing slush again is appealing. But who knows."
