The Court goes cosmic 15/01/2007 . Source: Jessica Martin
Fantasy novel The Court of the Air has been selected as one of the UK Book Club's five hot picks for the science fiction and fantasy literary year. Britain's biggest mail-order book-seller, the BCA, has selected the fantasy novel The Court of the Air for their Fantasy & Science Fiction Bookclub's 'Cosmic Five' ... their top recommended reads for SFF enthuasists for the coming year.
The Court of the Air is being published in hardback by HarperCollins Voyager in early April of this year. It's author, Stephen Hunt, described the novel as a Dickensesque fantasy romp replete with assassins, orphans on the run, and a sky-based secret police watching over a very skewed nineteenth century world.
The selection of the work as one of the BCA's Cosmic Five was accompanied by a very large trade order for the hardback version of the book, and will lead to it going to first-run print early, the publisher confirmed.
