Justina Robson goes Brum 23/02/2007 . Source: Jessica Martin
Justina Robson, SFF author, is visiting the Birmingham Science Fiction Group on Friday March 9th, 2007. She's there from 7.30pm at the Britannia Hotel (2nd floor), New Street, Birmingham. Entry costs: £3 BSFG members, £4 non-members.
Justina Robson's first novel "Silver Screen" was first published in 1999 here but didn't appear in the USA until 2005. Last year it was one of two of her novels up for the Philip K Dick Award. Neither of them won. This year "Living next door to the god of love" is up for the same award. Since the last of those came out she has also published two novels in the "Quantum Gravity" series. This set brings together Elves, rock stars and Cyborgs - often in the same character.
When not writing novels, Justina manages to write essays on role-playing games (Warcraft), TV shows (Farscape), and other writers (Colin Greenland, Peter Hamilton).
