Buy Princess Nevermore in the USA - or Buy Princess Nevermore in the UK Cam's Quest: The Continuing Story of Princess Nevermore and the Wizard's Apprentice, for ages 10 and up, recounts the further adventures of Cam, Princess Quinn and their friends in Mandria and Outer Earth.
In addition, Princess Nevermore, which Publisher's Weekly called, "suspenseful and poignant fantasy," has been reissued in an updated and expanded edition.
"I love fantasy and science fiction, and was greatly influenced by The Chronicles of Narnia and The Prydain Chronicles," Regan says. "I wanted to create my own fantasy world, and Princess Nevermore and Cam's Quest are the result."
Why did it take 12 years for the sequel to appear? "Life -- and other books -- took up my time, but I never stopped thinking about Mandria," she explains.
The phrase "It's a Mandrian truth" refers to the kingdom's accepted wisdom. Like many of their fellow teenagers, 17-year-old Cam and 15-year-old Quinn do not always take the advice of their elders on faith. In Cam's Quest, Cam solves the mystery of his past by traveling to Outer Earth, a fictionalized version of present-day Amarillo, Texas. Meanwhile, Quinn flees Mandria to avoid the arranged marriage that royal protocol demands take place during her 16th year. The story alternates between Cam's search for his identity and Quinn's journey through war-torn lands in her underground world.
In Cam's Quest loyalties are tested, exciting battles waged, and long- standing secrets revealed.
