Sky has announced that its Sky Movies service is to be repackaged into a number of genre-based channels. From April 4th 2007, the channels will relate to a number of specific film genres: Comedy, Family, Classic, Action & Thriller, Sci-fi & Horror, Drama, Indie, Modern Greats and Premieres. Buy SciFi in the USA - or Buy SciFi in the UK  “The evolution of our film channels is driven by our customers. Sky Movies offers the best film experience available in the home and with the changes announced today, viewers can enjoy even greater control over the films they want to watch. In offering the widest choice of films, high definition and on-demand service through TV and PC, there’s never been a better time for film lovers to experience Sky Movies,” Sophie Turner Laing, BSkyB’s Managing Director told SFcrowsnest.
Director of Sky Movies and Sky Box Office, Ian Lewis, added, “With this evolution to genres, the films our customers want continue to be there as they always have. But we feel that our viewers deserve more.
