Perhaps best-known for the novel Altered Carbon, Richard Morgan studied history at Queens' College, Cambridge but progressed on to full-time writing after teaching the subject for 14 years.

A winner of the Philip K Dick award, Richard has written two sequels to his original novel Broken Angels and Woken Furies as well as the novel Market Forces and two six-issue mini-series for Marvel Comics.

A SF thriller, Black Man is a novel about prejudice, about the ramifications of playing with our genetic blue-print. It is about our capacity for violence but more worrying, our capacity for deceit and corruption.
