Rian Hughes is a graphic designer, illustrator, font inventor and comic book artist. He’s worked on 2000AD illustrating Dan Dare and Robo-Hunter and also drew the Dare strip in Revolver magazine. He has his own company called Device where he designs for advertising campaigns, record sleeves, book jackets and graphic novels.

Rian is also closely linked with Forbidden Planet because he designed their Rocket logo.

Yesterday’s Tomorrows is a book of Rian’s collected comics. It includes his take on Dan Dare with Grant Morrison and the adaptation of Raymond Chandler’s Goldfish. His work for 2000AD is also included along with pages from Rian’s own sketchbook.
