Over the past couple of weeks Paul Tomlinson has been working with SF author Harry Harrison to set up a blog where they can post news about upcoming appearances, new publications and other projects, and anything else they can think of. "The 'anything else' will include a series of bits of 'old news' where I'll be posting details of previously unknown items written or drawn by Harry Harrison, or items about HH, or adapted from his stories, all uncovered as part of my research for the second edition of the annotated HH bibliography.
So far I have (I think) some previously unknown HH comic art, published in the late 1940s and early 1950s, and some other HH illustrations from the 1950s. I have also tracked down a few of the factual articles Harry wrote for comics and magazines during the early fifties, and I have details of more of these which I'll be trying to track down in the coming months.
Hopefully we'll also soon be able to post some news about a movie based on a HH novel, a new HH non-fiction project, and (maybe) a new HH-created comic book.
On the blog I'll also be posting the occasional 'mystery' or query which I hope people will be able to help find an answer to. We're trying to track down the name of the cover artist of a UK edition of THE TECHNICOLOR TIME MACHINE, and I also have a piece of Harry Harrison artwork which neither he nor I can identify - who is pictured in the art, why are they naked and sitting on a cactus, and where was the artwork published? Hopefully someone out there may know…
