Pia Guerra will be at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR Thursday 4th October 2007, 6-7pm. Buy Y: The Last Man in the USA - or Buy Y: The Last Man in the UK  Pia Guerra won the award for Outstanding Comic Book Artist 2006 at the Joe Shuster Awards. Since the mid 90’s she has worked for various independent titles but her breaking through came with with Y: The Last Man series. The comic is now in development as a movie with New Line Cinema.
Y: The Last Man - Motherland is volume nine in the ongoing series following on from Kimono Dragons. After a mysterious plague devastates the global male population, Yorick Brown in the last man left alive.
His mother is the President, his only friend a monkey called Ampersand, and his survival in this hostile new world is constantly in question.
