Alethea Eason's debut young-adult science fiction novel, Hungry, has been published by HarperCollins under its US Eos imprint.

Hungry is a light-hearted tale of an alien family sent by their race to scout out Earth and its inhabitants as a new source of food, and of their daughter, Deborah, who not only has a crush on a human named Willy, but would rather eat M&Ms anyway." 2007 Hugo nominee Bruce McAllister says of the book, "Hungry is one of the funniest - and probably the most charming - alien invasion tales this field has seen. Its spunky (and all-too-human) heroine is irresistible." Eason's short fiction has appeared in YA editor Bruce Coville's science fiction and fantasy anthologies, Marion Zimmer Bradley's Fantasy Magazine and other publications.
