Director Tim Burton is bringing Stephen Sondheim’s musical thriller to the big screen with Johnny Depp as the eponymous Demon Barber of Fleet Street, in Sweeney Todd. Written by Mark Salisbury, the only journalist on the movie’s set, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street has been compiled in collaboration with Tim Burton and his production team, promising a look behind the scenes.
With a foreword by Burton and interviews with the cast and crew, this hardback also includes extracts from the shooting script, illustrated with 200 photographs, plus concept drawings and production designs, including Burton’s own sketches.
This book is released this month in the US ($30.00) and January in the UK (£19.99).
