American SciFi author Diana Gabaldon gets a graphic novel version of her Outlander novels. Buy Outlander in the USA - or Buy Outlander in the UK  Diana Gabaldon is to get a colour graphic novel containing an original story set in the universe of her Outlander novels.
Said novels were rather cheekily described by Salon magazine as "the smartest historical sci-fi adventure-romance story ever written by a science Ph.D. with a background in scripting 'Scrooge McDuck' comics."
Gabaldon is scripting the book herself and illustrations are underway by artist Hoang Nguyen.
The book will, SFcrowsnest.com is told, appear sometime in 2009.
