One of the first horror authors being published by Virgin/Random House is that old hand of British supernatural fiction, Ramsey Campbell. Buy The Grin of the Dark in the USA - or Buy The Grin of the Dark in the UK  His new novel, The Grin of the Dark, involves a search for a silent film comedian, Tubby Thackeray, whose career seemed to disappear overnight, and its effects on the investigator, film journalist Simon Lester.
"Both chilling and funny, it’s Campbell at the top of his form," says SFF agent John Jarrold.
John Jarrold concluded the deal with Adam Nevill at Virgin Books and Random House. The novel will be published in May 2008.
