Here's a very nice trailer for the third movie outing for the Starship Troopers movie franchise - done in their usual cheesy fascist TV advert style. Still no power armour, though, and this science fiction movie is going direct to the DVD bins. Pity.
Actor Casper Van Dien returns as Johnny Rico, and the female love interest is provided by ex-Vulcan hottie Jolene 'Enterprise' Blalock, playing a navy officer called Lola Beck.
Starship Troopers III Marauders is directed by Edward Neumeier who wrote the original Robocop script - another scifi movie that made good use of cheesy mock adverts to get across a feel for the society the movie was set in.
The second movie - which also went straight to DVD hell - wasn't too bad, although it was basically the original Alien movie set inside a castle under seige to save on SFX costs.
At least this one looks like it's got some starship battles as well as ground action against the bugs.
