So Dark the Night

A supernatural mystery called So Dark the Night has been released online by author Cliff Burns in its entirety. Buy The Reality Machine in the USA - or Buy The Reality Machine in the UK  Readers are invited to browse, download and print it under the terms of the Creative Commons licence.
The novel features all manner of supernatural creatures and paranormal powers and the central plot involves a coven of conspiring mages. The book is a homage to the work of H.P. Lovecraft, Raymond Chandler, Val Lewton...as well as various cult movies and TV.
Cliff Burns is a 44-year old author who turned pro almost a quarter of a century ago. He's published a number of books, including The Reality Machine and Righteous Blood (PS Publishing; 2003). Both of the novellas in Righteous have been optioned for adaptation into films - Kept is currently in pre-production at Twisted Pictures/Lion's Gate (producers of the Saw series).
