Up to no Ood
15/04/2008 Source: Jessica Martin

Doctor Who The return of the Ood runs with the return of the squid-faced ones. Apparently, our inside source tells us, there's going to be some brain-waving action in this episode.

The Doctor takes Donna to her first alien world in episode three of series four of Doctor Who on BBC One. But on the planet Ood-Sphere, the deadly duo discover terrible truths about the human race. As the enslaved Ood struggle for survival, a secret buried for 200 years threatens to rise up and engulf them all.

Blackadder and Notting Hill actor Tim McInnerny guest stars as rascally slave-running capitalist business owner Mr Halpen.

Head writer and executive producer Russell T Davies told SFcrowsnest.com, "We're delighted The Ood are making a welcome return to Doctor Who. They were last seen falling into a black hole back in series two and we think it's only fair for the viewers to find out what the Ood have to say for themselves! Donna is certainly in for a shock."

Our inside source, the Dirty Dagget, tells us that we'll see the Ood waving their brains about on their ice planet home-world - apparently they have an extra one they carry about with them like an iPod. Evolution kind of failed the test with that one, huh, guys?
