The first in a series of six helmets from Doctor Who, made by Weta, has just hit the streets (this is a 500 run limited ed.) The Sontaran Officer Linx Helmet weighs in at just under a kilo (2.2 lbs) and is made from cast metal. It measures 170mm x 100mm x 100mm ... and was created by Weta model maker and Doctor Who fan, David Tremont. Their range of helmets will also include an Ice Warrior helmet, and Industrial Welding Mask, a Sycorax helmet, a Cyberman helmet and a Lord President Borusa Head-dress. Buy Doctor Who in the USA - or Buy Doctor Who in the UK Scientists from the Twentieth century are disappearing and the Doctor and his allies must find out why. The Doctor's investigation takes him into the distant past, to medieval England, where he confronts an armoured officer of the Fifth Sontaran Army Space Fleet, the bullet-headed Linx. Annoyed at the interference in his plans, the belligerent Sontaran captures the Doctor.
Though Linx is seemingly invulnerable in his gun-metal grey space suit, its one great weakness proves to be a small probic vent on the back of the neck, a means his people use to feed when traveling through time or space.
