JJ Abrams, not content with making the new Star Trek movie, is well underway with his TV series, Fringe, a fantasy-horror-scifi affair, with a touch of the X-Files/Bionic Woman/Alias about it. At least, it has a female FBI agent trying to track down a rogue Frankenstein-like chappie, leaving enhanced humans and mutants in his wake (as well as airplane loads of dead passengers killed in his mad experiments). What if science could exceed our imagination? asks the blurb. Fringe is another TV Series co-created by J. J. Abrams - he of Alias and Lost fame. Being made by Warner and Bad Robot, this series deals with a crazed scientist named Walter Bishop (think Albert Einstein meets Frankenstein), his son, and a female FBI agent who brings them back together.
