Alan Lee is back for the set design of The Hobbit, as is Ian McKellen, returning as Gandalf the Grey; while Guillermo del Toro wants his dragon to be something new and groundbreaking. "Smaug should not be the Dragon in the Hobbit movie as if it was just another creature in a Bestiary. Smaug should be The DRAGON for all movies past and present," he noted in this weekend's interview with WETA.
