Battlestar Galactica was also recognised by the The US Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for its writing, cinematography and SFX. Buy Tin Man in the USA - or Buy Tin Man in the UK  The US Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has given US cables science fiction giant SCIFI 16 Emmy nominations - the most nominations the channel has received in a single year.
The line-up includes nine nominations for 2007's Tin Man miniseries, with six nods for Battlestar Galactica.
Tin Man, produced by RHI Entertainment and SCIFI, was honoured with a nomination for Outstanding Miniseries. The re-imagining of the Wonderful Wizard of Oz broke Channel records when it premiered on December 2nd 2007 becoming the most watched program in SCI FI's history.
Stargate Atlantis, which premiered its fifth season on the SCI-FI Channel, also got a nomination for Special Visual Effects.
