British sci-fi imprint Tor UK have created a new web site to coincide with the publication of Empire in Black and Gold, a debut from fantasy novelist Adrian Tchaikovsky. Buy Empire in Black and Gold in the USA - or Buy Empire in Black and Gold in the UK  Tor UK told SFcrowsnest the new web site is, "a website that we built to coincide with the publication of Empire in Black and Gold, a debut from fantasy novelist Adrian Tchaikovsky. Rather than just stick up a micro site we thought it might be interesting to do something a little more open- the concept here is that the blog will form an intimate part of the Shadows of the Apt series as it goes along. This is a work in progress rather than a finished site; a place for the writer to speak directly with readers, rather than just an opportunity for publishers to sell books. It will include exclusive short stories, artwork, histories, descriptions, web comics, genealogies and general musings from Adrian, as well as opening up into user-generated content. We hope that this will be a new way for writers and publishers to use blogs and will greatly enrich the fantasy world for everyone. It's still in the very early stages so there is loads more content to come."
