All change on the board of the ASFA 01/08/2008 . Source: Jessica Martin
Some interesting news - from a UK point of view - is that British space artist David Hardy is now the new Vice President of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists - the first time this role has been taken by a European or a Brit. The old board is still up on the ASFA site, but their new President is Elisabeth Humphrey, and the Secretary is Jannie Shea. Buy 50 Years in Space in the USA - or Buy 50 Years in Space in the UK David will now be aiming to make the ASFA more international. He was the first European Vice President of the International Association of Astronomical Artists, back in 1988, when he was also the only UK member, and they now have lots of European types as members.
David has an art book out with Sir Patrick Moore - now in paperback: 50 Years in Space (AAPPL UK/Harper USA), and he was the recipient of the Sir Arthur Clarke Award in 2005 and nominated for the Hugo Award 2005/Chesley Award 2006.
