Zeno Agency sets up shop for sci-fi authors

Literary agent John Richard Parker, formerly with MBA for thirty years, has combined forces with SFRevu.com reviewer John Berlyne to set up a new literary agency for fantasy and science fiction authors. The Zeno Agency will specialise in various genres - e.g. literary and crime, but will have a particular focus on scifi. Buy Justina Robson in the USA - or Buy Justina Robson in the UK  No word of whether the split was amicable or not, but Diana Tyler, the founder at MBA Literary Agents will no doubt miss JRP.
John Parker said, "I am very pleased by the feeling of confidence in our venture shown by so many of my clients - writers like Roger Penrose, Iain Sinclair, Ian Mcdonald, Justina Robson and the Jabberwocky Literary Agency are happy to follow me to the new agency. I am also delighted that a number of formidably experienced editors such as Colin Murray have agreed to work with us as editorial consultants. We believe that getting the right script and presentation is vitally important."
John Berlyne added, "This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an agent of John's calibre and reputation and we'll be using his lifetime of business contacts to open doors for our clients. We're out to develop the Zeno brand so that it means real quality to publishers."
For those who don't know, Zeno was a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher known for his paradoxes, called the master of the dialectic by Aristotle. |
