Orion to the stars 16/09/2006. NASA has announced that its new crew exploration vehicle will be named Orion. Orion is the vehicle NASA's Constellation Program is developing to carry a new generation of explorers back to the moon and later to Mars. Orion will succeed the space shuttle as NASA's primary vehicle for human space exploration.

Clarion to Move to the University of California at San Diego 09/09/2006. The Board of Directors of the Clarion Foundation announced today that the Clarion Writers Workshop will be moving from Michigan State University to the University of California at San Diego beginning with the 2007 workshop. 
The Sarah Jane Adventures 08/09/2006. Russell T Davies has written a brand new series for CBBC called The Sarah Jane Adventures. It stars one of The Doctor's most famous companions, investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith. 
Geffen nominees announced 07/09/2006. The eighth annual Geffen awards will be presented at the Israeli SF and fantasy convention ICon2006, 9-14th October 2006 in sunny Tel Aviv.

Temeraire to become movie 05/09/2006. The Hollwood Reporter has revealed that the Temeraire book series by Naomi Novik has been optioned for film, and by none other than Peter Jackson.

Science fiction Britannia 03/09/2006. Fans of British science fiction are in for a special treat this autumn of 2006 as the TV station BBC Four pays homage to the genre with a season of films and programmes. 
Philip Palmer foreign rights 02/09/2006. German and Russian rights in Philip Palmer's debut science fiction novel, Debatable Space, have already been sold. 
Battlestar Galactica The Resistance 01/09/2006. The summer may be ending but fans of SCI FI Channel's new Battlestar Galactica TV series have reason to celebrate. SCI FI will launch its season online, with a 5-week, 10-episode online-only prequel season called Battlestar Galactica The Resistance.
