Eclipse Clock fun
09/07/2007. Astro-illustrator Dave Hardy has presented a rather magnificent Eclipse Clock to Sir Patrick Moore at the 50th Anniversary of The Sky At Night party on the 24th April 2007. Dave was of course his first space artist on the programme back in 1957, and still supply images - there was one last month of the new exoplanet, Gliese 581c.

05/07/2007. John Jarrold has confirmed his sixth deal for a debut novelist with a major UK publisher in the last eighteen months. World rights in Jasper Kent’s Twelve - an epic novel set in the period of the battle of Borodino and its aftermath in 1812 and featuring strong supernatural elements - have been sold by Jarrold to Simon Taylor at Transworld UK (Bantam Corgi), together with an unwritten sequel, for a good five-figure sum.
